Tiki has adapted to his healthy diet quite well. Here he is enjoying a banana snack after playtime this morning. Diet conversion is an important part of a fosters job. Most parrots com in on an unhealthy diet of just seeds or the box store "parrot diet" which is usually mostly seeds. A seed diet can contribute to a whole host of health issues so we work to convert them to a diet of fresh foods and quality pellets as soon as possible.
Every evening we open his cage and he wanders out to watch TV with us in the living room. I think he is starting to really get into Ozark......but that might just be my imagination. He enjoys some head scratches during TV time.
