Volunteer

PEARL is an all volunteer run organization.  Our volunteers are constantly on the move, whether they are picking up parrots and donations, setting up tables and chairs for our events, or representing PEARL in the community.  We could not do what we do for birds without the tireless dedication of our volunteers and foster families.

PEARL is a foster-based organization and we do not have a facility. All of our birds are in private homes, and because of this, we do not have many opportunities for our volunteers to work with birds. If you are interested in working with birds directly, we encourage you to consider fostering.

Outside of fostering, we mostly rely on our volunteers for community outreach - attending events, facilitating fundraisers and helping to spread awareness of PEARL's mission. Once we get to know our volunteers, there are additional opportunities available, such as assisting with marketing, bird or cage pick-ups, and vet trips.
