Your bird's cage should be set up with a variety of perches in different sizes and materials. The absolute best perches are natural wood perches. Often times you can find materials for toys and perches in your own back yard! But remember - when selecting wood to use for your bird, make sure you always know exactly what type of wood it is and where it came from, to be certain that it has not been treated with pesticides or other chemicals.
